Training calendar highlights for August

NICVA's latest training calendar has some great courses lined up this August including:

Planning to fundraise better - 20 August -10.00am to 1.00pm - £50/£70

Planning to fundraise better is one of a series of programmes under our new recession busting courses.
This course will help organisations put in place their own practical fundraising strategy by drafting a simplified fundraising plan. Participants will also be asked to review their own fundraising practice and capacity and will be introduced to a diverse range of fundraising methods and techniques in practical steps. They will also be shown how they can begin to set fundraising action points, targets and milestones.

Managing Staff - 18 August 2009 - 10.00am to 4.00pm - £75/£110

Participants will examine best practice in induction, supervision and appraisal. They will also look at the factors that influence the way people behave in the workplace and, based on this, look at some theories of motivation to help improve your team's performance. Participants will also examine the value of feedback in the workplace as well as delegation and underperformance. Accreditation is available for this course.

Dealing with Difficult People - 25 August - 10am to 1pm - £50/£70
This is a short programme designed to help us identify what makes us and colleagues difficult. How can we change this behaviour and learn a technique that will help us deal with difficult people assertively.
