The deadline for applications to the Exchanges Dept is 26 August 2005. This is for cross-border exchanges funded as part of the Youth and Community Exchanges Programme.
Co-operation Ireland believes that we all have a huge role to play in supporting peace. Peace is not just about politicians and paramilitaries but also about people.
Through their Community programme they work every year with groups on both sides of the border seeking to make a difference. They work with a wide range of groups from Age Awareness groups to groups seeking to tackle the problem of drug abuse in their communities.
Issues like these don't stop at the border. There are hundreds of groups throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland who can learn from the experiences of their counterparts.
You can download the Funding Criteria (pdf) for 2004/2005 in Adobe Acrobat format. (86K document). The next funding meeting is on the 9th of September 2005.
