The Probation Board for Northern Ireland wishes to make grants in 2008/09 to the voluntary and community sectors to fund services for offenders.

The aim of the Probation Board for Northern Ireland (PBNI) is to help reduce crime and the harm that it does.

The PBNI are inviting applications from groups who are willing to support or deliver programmes for adjudicated offenders (offenders on community sentences) in the following areas:

  • alcohol/drugs programmes
  • employment/training schemes
  • interpersonal skills training
  • personal development programmes
  • offending behaviour programmes
  • mentoring programmes
  • management of high risk offenders.
