NICVA is part of The UK Workforce Hub which exists to link voluntary and community sector organisations to the appropriate sector skills councils, or if none exists, to work with the SSDA to represent their interests.

The UK Workforce Hub helps voluntary and community organisations make the best of their paid staff, volunteers and trustees through workforce development.

We work to ensure that voluntary organisations have staff, volunteers and trustees with the skills they need.

National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO)

The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) is the umbrella body for the voluntary sector in England. NCVO works to support the voluntary sector and to create an environment in which voluntary organisations can flourish.

NCVO is a highly effective lobbying organisation and represents the views of its members, and the wider voluntary sector to government, the Charity Commission, the European Union and other bodies. NCVO is also at the leading edge of research into, and analysis of, the voluntary sector.

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations is the national body representing the voluntary sector.
